A new lurker in town

Welcome to [Damn]aged.

This blog was created by Android0025 for various reasons.
1. to promote Android0025's work under the label [Damn]aged
2. to blog about interesting finds
3. to share with everyone the love for fashion

Once a week, yours truly will blog about a brand or a shop, or some random fashion item that has peaked an interest. If you have something that you would like Android0025 to share, feel free to comment.

Your question, who is Android0025 and [Damn]aged.
Here is the story of your request.....

In 2001, Android0025 became vastly interested in fashion. Particularly, the alternative, underground, dark, black clothing of gothic and punk. Since then, Android0025 has become interested in all different types of alternative, sub-culture/sub-genre styles such as cyber, lolita, victorian, steampunk, fetish, etc.. Unable to find exactly the clothes Android0025 was looking for, Android0025 set out to make them at home.
Since then, Android0025 entered into the fashion/clothing design program at a university.
Around 2007, Android0025 decided on the name "Melancholy" to produce designs under. The single word described Android0025 perfectly. After a few years of discontent and struggle, Android0025 scraped the name.
In 2009, Android0025 decided on the new named "[Damn]aged". This name was inspired by various people Android0025 met. The feelings that resides within not only those people, but in Android0025 as well. For here, Android0025 would like to share what might be the unfolding of a familiar darkness of the underground world.

Let's step into the alternative world! (Originally posted: 1/19/09)

Enter: ガングロギャル! (Ganguro gyaru!)

Let's look at the infamous ganguro style. There are many sub groups and other categories such as yamaba, manba, etc., etc.
We're not going to go in-depth with the technical stuff like that because it would take a long time to post the difference.

This style is famous for bright colors, especially pink, dark skin, light hair & make up!

Often times sporting short skirts/shorts/dresses & platform shoes!

As daring at this fashion might be, I'm in love with the look! I love the bright colors and especially their hair/extensions!!

Many of the people who dress like this can be found in Shibuya. I saw a lot of this in Shibuya and Harajuku!

There are several magazines in Japan that also influence and cater to this style such as Egg and Popteen.

Cute bath robe she's wearing huh? (^ ^)

This is an example of nails that ganguros would wear:

You can easily put together your own outfit at your local stores! Just find bright colors!

Also, I apologize for being absent for so long! I hope that you guys enjoyed this picture-heavy post!

Android0025 to outer space!!!

Wow. I think I just spent 3 or so hours just surfing the endless net. But! I did find some really awesome things.

A couple days ago, I went off to the fabric store and bought several different fabrics. I'm hoping to make maybe 2 new outfits before April. I found this amazing blue fabric which I will not speak more of because it's going to be a surprise. I really love it! Anyways, my theme today is outer space - partly as an inspiration for my upcoming sewing projects! (And we can't go wrong with cyber yeah?)
I did a bunch of googling and here's what I came up with...

I found some actual clothing by designers that had the concept "Outer space/spacesuits meets fashion"! (Some of the sources I'm not quite sure about.. but I'll do my best!)

Here's an amazing futuristic outfit that I found while searching:

I'm just in love with the design and concept.

This knitted dress has the best details on it!!

I never use to be fond of such "crazy" designs, but now, I think it's safe to say that I have crossed over.

These are outfits that were in a fashion show in Japan with the concept of outer space:

I love the purple and black outfit in the background here..

I want to own the outfit and the plushie.... (this outfit is so inspiring, don't you think?)

I found this interesting site called Space Tourism Society New York. If you're around the area, I highly encourage you to visit the website. (They host an interesting club event that's space-themed~)
This picture was taken from their site...

After searching for a while, I thought I'd look into our well-known cyberesque clothing label Cyberdog. (I'm glad they simplified and revamped their OHP btw..)
Oh did I find some fun dresses there! Here's a couple:

Black UFO Dress
Size: n/a (one size)
Colors: Black (though the website says it's available in pink too)
Cost: $130.41 (original prices in GBP)

Yellow Moon Dress
Size: n/a (one size)
Colors: Fluorescent yellow
Cost: $130.41 (original prices in GBP)

And last of all...
Who isn't familiar with the video game Space Channel 5? It's a music-related game with an outer space theme! Our star/host in the game is the cute Ulala!

I love this game actually. And since it goes in hand with my theme this week, I've decided to include it in my post. Also, her outfits are very cute and spacey!!

If I were to ever cosplay in my life, I would love to cosplay as Ulala. haha Speaking of which, here is a Japanese girl dressed up as Ulala:

And to sum up my post, there is also an interesting article that I came across online if anyone is interested in reading more about spacewear in fashion, please read "On the Runway: Spacewear Meant to Dazzle, Even in Zero Gravity".

Who else wants to just dress up in bubble-like clothing and go rave?

A look at Takuya Angel

Hey everyone! Sorry it took so long to update. I've been quite busy actually.
I was trying to think what I would like to post about next and decided to do a special on Takuya Angel!

For those of you who are not familiar with this rising popular brand in Japan. The clothes are mostly bright colored (good for a cyber or clubbing look) with a touch of traditional Japanese attire (i.e. kimono, samurai-wear, ...). "TA" consists of designer Takuya and Akiko. Together they come up with the most creative and fun designs! (They also tell you the background behind certain clothing pieces and how to wear them for those who aren't familiar with them!)
Many items are very expensive because they are handmade and in limited quantity. (It's worth it though!) The good thing is that they ship overseas!

Let's take a look at what you can find from Takuya Angel...

First we have a Haori. This is a skirt/jacket that can be worn either way.

Haori costs around $520-590 (original prices are in yen!!)
*Size: n/a

Next, a Hakama short version (includes matching leg warmers!)...

Hakama short costs: $525-580
*A hakama was originally worn by men but these days, women wear them too
*Size: n/a

Hakama long version

Hakama long costs: $525-580
*Size: n/a

One of their more special, newer items is made under a line called "Mononoke." These are fur mufflers with claws. They're super cute and very bright!

*Mononoke muffler comes in two different sizes: slim (about $85) and original (about $105)

Their latest designs consists of their character Hariko. It's a cute cat. These are hariko shirts!

Hariko shirts costs about $115
*Sizes include: M, L, XL/LL

I'm in love with their colorful arm warmers! They have included little claws on them too~~

Knit arm warmer costs about $65

If you're interested in their clothes or want to see more, please take a look at their official website!!

Here's some pictures of people wearing Takuya Angel:

A peak at Android0025

Hey everyone. So for the first post, I posted some cool cyber clubwear but I thought I would give everyone a look at who Android0025 is and my style. I like to break the borders of fashion styles and wear just about anything alternative. I won't post pictures of all my different styles but just some recent pictures.

Jacket: Black Peace Now
Blouse: Black Peace Now
Skirt: h.naoto FRILL>

Nails: bought at a store with a lot of random stuff in Shinjuku (Japan)

Blouse: I believe I got it at Ragstock? (It was a while ago..)
Corset skirt: Excentrique
Armwarmers: they are actually leg warmers from Macy's!

I'm also very interested in makeup! I'd like to introduce everyone to a very good and unique makeup brand called Medusa's Make-up. They have many colors and the pigment is very rich & strong. There are many people that love the quality and vibrant look of Medusa's eyeshadows. Here are some examples of some colors they have:

Electro blue:

Electro pink:

The color name tells all! These colors are pretty much true to what you see in the pictures as well. Each eyeshadow goes for only $9! For that price, who wouldn't go for these vibrant shadows?
I have always had troubles finding eyeshadows that actually show up as they look in the compact. Medusa's make-up is a must for people that love colors!

It's 5:30 in the morning!!!!

Since I seem to have all the time in the world, I decided to do some googling on perhaps some unique new cyber-esque clothing. Interestingly enough, I ran into an online shop called Intrigue Boutique. Aside from the fetish costumes, shoes, lingerie, swimwear, and adult toys, they carried some nice cyber and clubwear brands that I was familiar with. They carry brands that I have personally liked such as: Cyber Spirit and Pen & Lolly. It also listed that they carried Adjamiba, but no items could be found. (I was bummed because I really love Adjamiba's fur accessories!)

I found a very beautiful corset by Vollers. Prior to this, I have never heard of Vollers, but after scanning through their corsets on Intrique Boutique, I fell in love! This is my favorite, an Antique Sage corset selling for $273.25. (Keep in mind though, original prices are in pounds.)

And I've always loved Cyber Spirit's trousers! Of course made in varying colors:

I'm a big fan of skirts and I just love these skirts by Pen & Lolly in black or white! The furry legwarmers are also so cute! The whole set is for only $104.08!!

It's hard to find some unique cyber, clubwear. I seem to find the same things over and over but every now and then, I can run into something different!

Could you find something among these 3 brands that I like in particular? Or have you seen any other brands that are just a little different from most?

In addition to official homepages, several of them have myspaces pages or an alternative.
Please check them out!
